The Main Street Mentors Walk brings together entrepreneurs of all kinds and matches them in a way that fosters business relationships that can change the lives of business owners. In this 5K walk, we match successful business owners with new and early stage entrepreneurs to talk about business challenges and ideas for success. The event provides an avenue for entrepreneurs to learn, build their network, and get their blood flowing all at the same time.
Many of the relationships that begin at the Main Street Mentors Walk turn into powerful mentorships that extend for many years. This event shows how much Colorado loves small business and is committed to providing interesting channels to entrepreneurs that want to grow.
The 3rd annual Main Street Mentors Walk was held on August 10, 2013, and Colorado once again proved why we attract so many entrepreneurs to invest in our growing state. The 2013 Main Street Mentors Walk was bigger, better, and more influential due to caliber of entrepreneurs, sponsorship support, and the incredible asset of Stapleton’s Central Park. We received recognition throughout the region almost immediately after the event and proved the metro region is a place that truly engages the entrepreneurial fabric in our own unique fashion.
Nearly 200 entrepreneurs participated in the event and the weather could not have been better. The live music, fountains, and exemplary food brought even more attention to the event and gave us a great chance to showcase the small business support that exists for every entrepreneur in the area. Denver once again proved that Colorado is a great place to be an entrepreneur.
As this 5K networking event has grown and become more popular, we continue to derive a lot of positive energy and look forward to next year’s walk. Entrepreneurs make the SBDC what it is, and we absolutely love seeing all of them together in one place. We look forward to seeing you next summer at the 2014 Main Street Mentors Walk. Event date and details coming soon!
