Small Business Advisory Board

The Small Business Advisory Board serves as an advocate for small businesses by providing advice and guidance to the Denver Metro Small Business Development Center (SBDC) and the Denver Metro Chamber of Commerce (DMCC) on the issues impacting the local small business community.

Goals:

  • To gather input about the needs and concerns of small businesses so that the DMCC and the Denver Metro SBDC can make informed decisions about services.
  • To create a vehicle through which the issues and concerns of small businesses can be expressed to the DMCC leadership.
  • To better represent the needs and concerns of the DMCC membership, 80% of which are comprised of businesses with 25 or fewer employees.
  • Identify and review regulations, policies and issues that affect small business viability, job creation, growth and prosperity, such as contracting opportunities, the cost of doing business (fees, taxes, etc.), access to capital, and other business resources.
  • Educate small businesses about policies, issues, and resources.
  • Demonstrate the importance of small business to the community and the region.
